With Netwitz Air Speed Wireless Internet Service you get secure, reliable, and cost effective Internet Access that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and operates at speeds up to 1.5Mbps.

Air Speed Wireless Internet Access allows customers to have high-speed Internet Access without having to rely on expensive phone or data lines. Our business customers can potentially save thousands of dollars every month by eliminating the need for these data lines. Our residential customers will be able to access the Internet at speeds 20x faster than standard dial-up modems, and will see savings with the elimination of second phone lines or expensive premium cable tv services. But most importantly, Wireless Internet Access will provide service in areas where cable modems or Digital Subscriber Lines (DSL) are not available.

Netwitz is currently providing Air Speed Wireless Internet Access in much of Marion, Clinton and Washington counties. We are working to establish additional Wireless Points-of-Presence (WPOPs) in other surrounding areas. Customers must be able to achieve line of site to one of our WPOPs. These WPOPs are simply a series of antennas that are mounted high above the ground and connected back to our Network Operations Center (NOC) . Customers subscribing to our service only need to install a small receiving antenna on outside of their home or office in order to receive Wireless Internet Access.

Air Speed Wireless Internet Access from Netwitz frees you from the constraints of a wired connection without having to sacrifice speed. No phone lines are needed to connect the Internet so there are no busy signals, no disconnects and no second phone lines to pay for. Your wireless connection is a dedicated connection from your computer to Netwitz. This means that unlike cable users, you don't have to share a connection with your neighbors back to your ISP. Wireless Internet is not subject to the distance restrictions of DSL. You cannot receive DSL if you are more than 3 miles from the telephone office. Netwitz currently has wireless customers connected to access points located over 15 miles away.

How does it compare to Cable or DSL?

Most cable and DSL providers either limit your speeds quite a bit, or they oversell their service so much that you end up with hundreds of users fighting over a small scrap of bandwidth and everyone ends up with a fraction of the service they expected to get when they signed up. Some of the cable and DSL companies are changing their business model to more closely match ours because they realize that the way they do it now is failing. Also - be aware of additional taxes and charges from DSL and Cable companies which may not be listed with the price of service.

How does it compare to satellite Internet?

Satellite Internet is really a last resort semi high-speed Internet service. The actual download speed of satellite can be quite high, but because of the physical limitations of the speed the signal travels from you to space and back to the provider on the ground the latency of the connection is very high, even worse than a dial-up connection. Which can make it seem unresponsive while browsing web-pages, and impossible to play online first person games like Doom, Half-Life, Halo, Quake, Flashpoint, and others. You also have to contend with the weather just as you would with satellite TV. When it's cloudy, rainy, snowing, etc. Your service will suffer, and even fail at times.

I play online games, is it any good for that?

Yes. Netwitz Internet Services broadband is excellent for online game playing! There is almost always less than 10ms latency between you and us, and then it's a straight shot to the Internet over our high-speed dedicated connections.

How long does it take to get?

Most installations can be completed within two weeks of your first call. Sometimes, special consideration needs to be taken into account for wiring, special order equipment, etc..

What else do I get besides faster Internet?

Unlike expensive T1, we also provide you with the other services you would expect from a dial-up Internet provider such as e-mail accounts which are spam and virus filtered, webpage hosting, web-based e-mail access, and much more!

I see some plans offer a reduced on-site service rate. What's that mean?

That means that if you need service done that isn't related to your existing service, such as adding a computer to your network, wiring, or common PC troubleshooting and repair, you'll save money. Instead of our normal rate of $65 per hour for on-site service, you'll only pay $45 per hour.
